Last Updated: May 18, 2022

1. This Privacy Policy

Cornerstone Innovation LLC (“Cornerstone”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information (“Personal Information”) that Cornerstone collects from you, how we use that information, how we share your information, our legal bases for doing so, and your rights regarding the information you provide to us. The terms “you” and “your” refer to any person or organization accessing and/or using the Cornerstone websites, including www.cornerstone-innovation.com, www.aidalabels.com, and all related pages and subdomains (collectively, the “Site”), as well as to any Artificial Intelligence Drug Assistant (“AIDA”) devices you register and to the online applications (“Apps”) which provide support for the AIDA (collectively, our “Service”). This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) forms a part of our Terms of Use.

We may modify this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will provide notice to you by publishing the most current version and revising the date at the top of this page. If we make any material change to this Policy, we will provide additional notice to you, such as by sending you an email or displaying a prominent notice on the Site.

2. Policy Scope

This Policy does not apply to information that you have provided or made accessible to third parties, such as other members, network administrators, and others with whom you may share information about yourself. The Site may direct you to a third-party service, or a portion of the Site may be controlled by a third party. Disclosure of information to these third parties is subject to the relevant third party’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for any third-party’s privacy policy, even if we link to those sites and services from the Site.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information We Collect Directly from You.  We collect information that you provide directly to us. For example, we collect and store Personal Information such as your name, email address, username and password, shipping address, billing information, and phone number when you register for a Cornerstone account, shop online, sign up for offers, communicate with us or otherwise use our Service. If you connect your AIDA device to Wi-Fi, we also collect information about your AIDA device, such as settings changes and printed label details, including drug name, NDC number, date, dosage, lot number and expiration date.  We may also collect Personal Information when you send us an email, or provide us with comments, chat message and opinions on our Website or through our Service.

3.2 Information Automatically Collected.  When you use the Site, we automatically collect activity-related information, including:

  • Log Information: We collect log information about your use of the Site, including the type of browser that you use; the time, duration, and frequency of your access; Site pages viewed; your IP address; and the page you visited before visiting the Site.
  • Device Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device that you use to access the Site, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Information from Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We and our service providers may collect information using various technologies, including pixel tags (also called clear GIFs, web beacons, or pixels) and cookies. Pixel tags are electronic images that may be used on the Site or in our emails, and track usage of the Site and effectiveness of communications. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that track the Site usage in order to help us provide and improve Site functionality; support our security features; detect violations of our Terms of Use; analyze how the Site is performing, being accessed, and being used; and serve ads that may be relevant to you based on your stated or inferred interests, location, or other information. Most devices are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you may be able to remove or reject cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Site.

3.3 Information Collected from Devices Equipped with Smart Technology.  All of our AIDA devices are equipped with smart technology which allows the AIDA device to transmit data wirelessly to the Service.

  • AIDA Usage Data. When you connect your AIDA device to Wi-Fi, we collect information about the AIDA, such as AIDA name and device number, and information about the AIDA usage, such as ink level and label details.

Our AIDA devices do not transmit this information unless you connect to Wi-Fi, or connect to the internet via another method. It is possible to use AIDA without Wi-Fi, simply by disconnecting your Wi-Fi from the AIDA device.

This is correct.  They need to connect occasionally to Wi-Fi for AIDA to continue to work properly.  So better to take out comment about not connecting it at all.

4. How We Use Your Information

We and our service providers process information about you where it is in our legitimate interests to do so and not overridden by your rights.  We may use your information in order to:

  • authenticate your identity;
  • display your profile;
  • personalize, maintain, and optimize the Site and Service for you;
  • process your payment information and ship orders (if applicable);
  • communicate with you via email and SMS (text) messaging to provide you with account updates, reminders, and (when in line with the preferences you have shared with us) to provide you with interest-based information and advertising;
  • respond to your comments, questions, and requests, and provide customer service and support;
  • monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Service;

  • comply with applicable laws and respond to legal requests;
  • maintain, improve, and further develop the Site and Service;
  • develop new products and services;
  • perform contracts with our service providers;
  • carry out any other purposes described to you at the time that we collect the information.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a specific legal basis for processing personal data, our legal basis for collecting and using the information described in this Policy will depend on the type of information and the specific context in which we collect it but will fall into one or more of the above categories.

Currently not doing SMS, but I don’t think it hurts to keep it in the policy to allow flexibility in the future.
